Downtown Downey will join communities across the country in celebrating National Night Out on Thursday, Aug. 1, from 5:30-8:30 pm.
The free event typically features community information booths, demonstrations from police and fire, and food from local vendors.
The event will be held in the Downey Civic Center off 3rd Street.
